Let's Help Ukraine is a non-profit organization based in Obermumpf, Switzerland. All initiatives are financed by donations from individuals and micro-entrepreneurs. We provide three orphanages, a small community of elderly people and widowed women with children with food, medicine and hygiene items.

How it all started
My name is Silvana Lopes Gomes, I am Brazilian, my husband is Nuno Cardoso Gomes, born in Portugal, we have been living in Switzerland for 20 years.
On January 29, 2022 I was undergoing medical treatment for cancer. On February 24, my husband and I saw on the news that a young man had crossed the Ukrainian border alone to escape the war. We were so moved by the images that we felt we had to do something to alleviate the suffering of the Ukrainian people.
Although I was still very sensitive to the side effects of the treatment, I was not alone, with the support of my husband and our friends, Brazilians and Portuguese, in March of the same year we were able to fulfill the first humanitarian aid mission to Ukraine.
Since then, we have traveled monthly to that country to provide non-perishable food, hygiene and cleaning products, drinking water, medicines, some occasional aid requested by the Ukrainian authorities.
On each trip, we witness the suffering of the people still living in Ukraine. Therefore, we cannot stop, we will continue to help them, because the war is not over yet and they need us.
